Trans Day of Visibility 2025

Trans Day of Visibility 2025

. 7 min read

International Trans Day of Visibility or Trans Day of Visibility (ITDV/TDV) has been a yearly event since 2009. It’s a day to celebrate trans people in all our many and varied expressions and experiences, while acknowledging our shared lived experiences of exclusion, discrimination and political persecution.

Trans sex workers are such a vibrant and vital part of the wider sex working community. Like many marginalised populations, trans providers make up a large part of our sex working community. We would be lesser without our trans siblings and the wealth of experience, expertise and love they bring to the table. Whether we are fighting on the frontlines for our rights, engaging in intra-communal discussion, or just running high on the joy of being together, trans workers are an invaluable part of our community.

We must continue to celebrate each other, especially when faced with global organisations and governments looking to rob us of our connection, our courage to fight, our conviction, our joy and most importantly, each other. And though it is hard, we must not let them. Cis workers especially, do not allow them to divide us with the false promise of your safety in exchange for that of your trans siblings’. We will not escape the conservative, transphobic, whorephobic gristmill by feeding it; we must dismantle it. I believe in our ability to do so, together.

We’re wishing you all safety, joy and peace on this TVD, my loves. May we rest, recuperate and thrive, now and into the future.

We’ve done a little deep dive into the archives, bringing you just some of the incredible work from trans providers we’ve been lucky enough to publish over the years.
