We're glad to have you! Tryst's memberships are paid for with Tryst Love Credit (TLC), which you can purchase from the Dashboard.
Purchasing TLC
You can purchase up to 500 TLC a day. TLC is then used to pay for your chosen membership. TLC purchases are non-refundable. To purchase TLC:
-
Log in to your Tryst account.
-
Select Memberships from the navigation menu and click Add credits.
-
Select the number of coins you wish to purchase, or select custom and enter an amount between 5 and 500. Then select whether you want to pay with a Credit/Debit Card or Bitcoin.
-
Click Next. Then, follow the prompts to enter your card details for Credit/Debit payments or use the QR code to process a Bitcoin payment.
Upgrading your membership
Once you have a balance of TLC available you can select which membership you want to upgrade to. If you don't have enough coins you will be prompted to add some before you can upgrade.
If you are upgrading to a higher membership tier it will become active immediately.
-
Log in to your Tryst account and select Membership from the navigation menu. Click on Manage your membership.
-
On the Manage Membership page, you’ll see the available membership options. Click on Upgrade under the membership that you want to move to.
-
You’ll be presented with a summary of your chosen plan and the costs associated with it. Once you click Update Membership, your new features will become available immediately. Your membership section will also update to show the new tier.
Upgrading during a billing month
When you upgrade from one paid membership to another your renewal date will stay the same and the system will automatically credit you the remainder of your current membership fee and then charge the amount required to complete the current cycle at the new membership tier.
As an example, let's say you are currently on Basic and upgrade to Standard 7 days into your billing cycle (we're also going to assume it's February because 28 days is a much simpler month for doing maths!). You’ll receive a refund of ₮26.25 for the remaining time on Basic followed by a charge for ₮56.25 to complete the current cycle on Standard.
Note: These numbers are approximate and for illustration only, when you upgrade the summary page will show you the calculations that will apply.
When will my renewal go through?
The Tryst.link system operates on UTC time, which means the renewal date shown is in the UTC timezone. Remember to convert this time to your local timezone if you need to check when it will happen.
Downgrading your membership
You can downgrade to a lower plan or the free Lite membership at any time. When you do, you will retain your current feature level until the end of your current billing cycle. The next renewal will be at the price of the plan you've selected.
-
Log in to your Tryst account.
-
Select Membership from the navigation bar and click Manage membership.
-
On the Manage Membership page, you’ll see the available membership options. Click on Downgrade under the membership that you want to move to.
-
You’ll be presented with a summary of your chosen plan and the costs associated with it. Click Downgrade Membership to confirm the change. Your membership information will show your previous paid tier until the scheduled date, and you will continue to have access to its features until then.
Cancelling a downgrade if you change your mind
Sometimes you might want to cancel a downgrade you scheduled to select a different option or an upgrade instead. To do so:
-
Log in to your Tryst account and select Membership from the navigation menu. Click on Manage your membership.
-
On the Manage Membership page, you’ll see the available membership options. Click on Cancel Downgrade under the membership currently scheduled.
-
You’ll be presented with a summary of the change to confirm. Click Cancel Downgrade if you are happy with the change. You can now follow the upgrade or downgrade steps to select a different option.
What happens if I have a low TLC balance?
If you don't have enough TLC in your balance to renew your plan, we'll email you 7 days before your renewal date to let you know.
If the balance is still too low when your billing cycle day comes up, you will be automatically downgraded to the free Lite membership. You can upgrade back to a paid membership at any time.
