Why is it better to last than to burn?” — Roland Barthes, A Lover's Discourse I have spent much of my life pondering the nature of romantic and erotic love and have come to believe that some of its most potent instantiations can be found in the arms of a stranger — someone who has no agenda beyond helping you access and unleash your deepest desires. In your life, I can be that stranger. I can also become more. Alongside sexy and erotic bonds, I desire to build strong intellectual and emotional connections. I view our time together as an elaborate, two-person improvisational theater. I find great joy in stepping onto a private stage and discovering what kind of fire we can kindle and what kind of magic we can create. I believe it's possible to fall in love for an hour (or a night), and I believe these experiences can change us.
